“Family Based Treatment (FBT) in Higher Levels of Care”
Presented by Rachel Oringher, Psy.D
The presentation will focus on the application FBT in the partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and/or residential levels of care for eating disorders. The presenter will review the treatment model interventions and principles with a case example. Research about the efficacy of FBT will be reviewed as well.
Dr. Oringher is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides evidence-based individual, group, and family treatment for eating disorders at the PHP and IOP levels of care at Eating Recovery Center, Maryland, specifically the Bethesda location; the primary location of ERC Maryland – which offers Residential in addition to also offering PHP and IOP – is in the Baltimore area. Both locations treat patient of all ages down to 10 and of all genders.
Dr. Oringher received her Psy.D. at the Professional Psychology Program at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.. Dr. Oringher currently supervises mental health counselors and developing psychologists and has a special focus on family-based treatment for children and adolescents at Eating Recovery Center, Maryland – Bethesda location.
