Best Practice in Moving the Eating Disorder Field Forward with Virtual Care

This presentation will provide participants with the opportunity to hear the lessons learned on providing optimal eating disorder care in a virtual environment. The presentation will discuss potential future implications of telemedicine regulation changes, considerations in delivering eating disorder treatment virtually, and integration of a collaborative care model.

About the Speakers:

Tiffany King, MBA is the VP of Virtual Programs at Monte Nido where she oversees the adolescent and adult virtual IOP and PHP offerings and specialties. Prior to joining Monte Nido, Tiffany worked at Embark Behavioral Health, where she worked in financial operations and as the VP of Virtual. Tiffany has over 15 years of experience in financial operations, strategy, start-up, and operational leadership roles. She started her career in financial and audit risk consulting at Deloitte, assisting companies in SOX compliance, finance transformation and process optimization, most notably in the technology industry. She also led Twitter into public company status through spearheading internal financial process compliance and then transitioned to the Corporate Development M&A Team, leading the due diligence risk assessment and integration of the company’s largest acquisition at nearly $500 million.

Amanda Smith, LICSW, LCSW, LCSW-C, CEDS is a licensed independent clinical social worker. She is currently the Executive Director of Monte Nido’s Virtual Adolescent Programs. She received her Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Lasell College and her Master’s of Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University. She started her career with Monte Nido Walden in 2010 as an inpatient clinician. Throughout her career she has held various roles in all levels of care and currently oversees general and specialty care provided in virtual ambulatory programs. When not providing care, Amanda can be found training and competing in taekwondo along with her son.
