Chances are you know SOMEBODY who has an eating disorder or poor body confidence. So many in our society struggle with their body image and engage in unhealthy dieting behaviors that can lead to eating disorders. Eating disorders do not discriminate: young and old, all genders, economic classes and races are impacted. Over one-half of teenage girls and nearly one-third of teenage boys use unhealthy weight control behaviors AND eating disorders continue to have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness.

“We live in a world of choices. My choice is to better the understanding of what a man in this world with an eating disorder is going through. I want to start a revolution of change to begin a new era of openness among men about how they deal with the everyday struggles of eating disorders.”  ~ Joey Julius

We hope you can join us at this year’s breakfast where our featured speaker, Joey Julius, will share his story of being a Division 1 athlete, struggling with an eating disorder and getting the help he needed.
