MEDA is seeking individuals who are fully recovered* from their eating disorder and who are interested in sharing their personal story. Speakers first write their story, review it with MEDA’s clinical staff, and then present at a mutually agreed upon scheduled date. Held the first Saturday of every month, Hope and Inspiration is a time and place where all can learn from another’s journey. Those who speak at Hope and Inspiration provide unparalleled motivation and encouragement to those still struggling- please consider sharing your story!

If you would like to volunteer as a speaker, please read MEDA’s Hope and Inspiration Guidelines. We also encourage you to read past Hope and Inspiration speakers’ stories.

Interested individuals should call (617) 558-1881 or email Michelle Pierce, Director of Clinical Programming, at

*We ask that speakers have been free of eating disorder behaviors for at least one full year.
