About the Provider
Food is personal, whether you have an eating disorder or not. I strive to be a safe space for my clients to explore and rebuild their relationship with food, as well as develop a deeper understanding and respect for their bodies. I’m very science-guided, compassionate, and direct. My ultimate goal is to help clients figure out how to make food less stressful, less time-consuming, less rigid – and ultimately, be supportive of overall health. When working with young clients (10-14), I focus on how food operates within the entire family unit and prefer to work closely with parents.

About the Provider
I am a psychologist who specializes in eating disorders, body image concerns, mindfulness and compassion, and relationship based therapies.
I enjoy working collaboratively with a client, couple, or family to understand the role and function of different personal difficulties. Together we can work to see
how someone’s struggles relate to their larger goals, hopes, and motivations.
I use approaches to therapy that focus on understanding the role and functions of emotions and behaviors, understanding someone’s experience in the context of relationships, and utilizing strengths and competencies in the therapy process.
In addition to individual therapy, I have a passion for working with couples, families, and in relationship based therapies. I also provide parent consultation for parents supporting their child or adult child through an eating disorder.
I completed a fellowship at Mclean Hospital-Harvard Medical School in Adolescent Mental Health and completed my predoctoral internship at the University of Virginia Counseling and Psychological Services. Prior to working in private practice, I worked as a staff psychologist at Mclean Hospital’s Klarman Eating Disorders Center and held an appointment at Harvard Medical School. At Klarman Eating Disorders Center, I specialized in the care of individuals struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and associated concerns.
Please reach out if you have any questions and would like to schedule a complimentary initial phone consultation.
