About the Provider
It is important to me that I meet my clients where they are at in their healing journey as we work together to process trauma, identify needs, work towards achieving goals, and develop healthy coping skills. I believe that my clients are the experts of their own life experiences, strengths and needs.
The approach I implement is based on each individualized clients needs utilizing a wraparound perspective while applying various therapeutic techniques and modalities. I see the therapeutic process as a true collaboration with my clients and other members of their treatment team.
With nearly 20 years work in the field of eating disorders I have extensive experience in helping clients navigate the complexities of their eating disorder. I understand the non-linear nature of recovery and value helping my clients feel more empowered in navigating their recovery and developing healthier coping mechanisms.
I strive to create a space of empathy, non-judgment, and respect for the autonomy of my clients. I believe that setbacks don’t signify failure but rather are part of the process, which is critical in helping my clients stay engaged in therapy even when things feel difficult or overwhelming.
