About the Provider
Hello! I’m Marissa, a self-proclaimed foodie and plant lover. I’ve always been passionate about cooking, eating, and growing food! I’m fascinated by the unique relationship each of us has with food. My mantra is that food is meant to be enjoyed—it represents culture, traditions, creates lasting memories, and, of course, can be super delicious!
My approach is rooted in Health at Every Size® (HAES), Intuitive Eating, weight-neutral, and non-diet nutrition. I strive to create a safe space where you can heal and strengthen your relationship with both food and your body, all while challenging the harmful norms of diet culture. I believe all bodies are good bodies, deserving of equal and respectful care. You already possess the inner wisdom, strength, and ability to grow and heal. I’m here to support you with compassion, acceptance, and kindness, providing the tools and education to guide your journey. As a neurodivergent clinician, I also deeply understand how neurodivergence can shape your healing process.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master’s in Nutrition and Health Promotion from Simmons University in Boston, MA. I also completed a 1200-hour dietetic internship specializing in eating disorders. I’m dedicated to helping individuals struggling with:
Eating disorders
Disordered eating behaviors
“Food noise” and chaotic/distressing eating behaviors
Chronic dieting (Yo-Yo dieting)
Body image concerns
In my free time, I enjoy reading fantasy and sci-fi, gardening, crocheting, and exploring seasonal finds at Trader Joe’s. Fall is my favorite season for the breathtaking New England foliage, hiking, and, of course, the Trader Joe’s butternut squash mac & cheese!
