MEDA is a nonprofit organization
Dedicated to the Prevention & Treatment of Eating Disorders.
We provide clinical services for individuals and families, educational programs for the community and training for professionals.
We offer a variety of clinical and therapeutic services to support individuals and loved ones through the various stages of their journeys. We provide education about eating disorders and their underlying causes to develop a compassionate community that promotes hopefulness and supports healing.
We are honored that Lauren is fundraising for MEDA running the 2025 Boston Marathon! 🏃🏻♀️
All proceeds raised by Lauren’s run will be donated to MEDA and will support our services for those struggling with eating disorders and their families and provide critical programs to increase access to treatment and services.

Check out our new blog post, “Understanding and Treating ARFID” by @rogersbehavioralhealth ✍🏼
“ARFID presents in different ways and can develop at any point in life. For some people, a highly selective pattern of eating starts in early childhood, with avoidance of specific foods or new foods, due to texture or taste. This restrictive pattern may make it hard to eat in various social settings or may impact growth and development.”

Check out our new blog post, “Eating Disorder Recovery at Every Size” by @within_health ✍🏼
“Recovering from an eating disorder is hardly ever a straight path. The journey is filled with ups and downs, many of which come from the physical and mental changes that take place during recovery.
One way to help make the process smoother is adopting the view of “body neutrality.” Just as HAES de-emphasizes weight as a measure of health, body neutrality decouples how a body looks from its worth. Instead, body neutrality asks people to consider what their body can do for them and see it simply as a physical vessel and only one part of who they are.”

MEDA’s ability to HEAL THE WHOLE PERSON is needed now more than ever! Many individuals with eating disorders struggle with co-occurring mental health conditions.
Finding providers who can treat both eating disorders and co-occurring conditions is especially difficult, which results in clients seeing more than one therapist at a time. MEDA, however, is paving the way for healing the whole person!
Join us to provide care and a path to recovery for those who need treatment and support. Please make a generous gift today at the link in our bio or www.medainc.org/donate

“Acknowledging their struggle shows empathy. Saying, “I see how hard this is for you,” can be more powerful than trying to convince them you understand. Validating their experience helps them feel seen and heard, a crucial part of the process.”
