About the Provider
With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Smith is a trusted expert in the dental care of patients experiencing and recovering from eating disorders. Her unique background in psychology and her commitment to fostering a warm, nonjudgmental environment have helped hundreds of patients feel at ease while restoring the health and beauty of their smiles.
Eating disorders can have a profound effect on oral health – it can quickly lead to enamel erosion, increased tooth sensitivity, gum complications, and even changes to how a person bites or chews. Left untreated, these issues can impact overall nutrition, digestive health, and self-confidence. Dr. Smith understands the intimate link between oral wellness and a patient’s physical and emotional recovery, and she and her team approach each case with the highest level of sensitivity and care.
Dr. Smith works closely with nutritionists, therapists, and family members to ensure each patient’s care is thoughtful, integrated, and empowering. By healing a person’s smile, she helps eliminate pain and restore a sense of pride that can be vital in the recovery journey.
