About the Provider
Beth received her B.S. degree in clinical psychology from Quinnipiac College and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston College. She has been a therapist for over 30 years and her areas of expertise include eating disorders, body image, trauma, and adolescent and family therapy. She is Level-One trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and is also trained in Family Based Therapy (FBT) as well as Health at Every Size. She utilizes DBT, CBT, IFS, and ACT in all her work. She describes herself as an eclectic therapist who uses different treatment approaches based on the needs of the individual, couple and/or family. Her therapeutic work focuses on the whole person including their cultural, emotional, physical, familial, spiritual and financial background. She is present and non-judgmental helping clients navigate their way through their life experiences. Beth uses a strengths-based approach recognizing the strengths of her clients and their families and avoids labeling and pathologizing people and their situations. She firmly believes in laughter as a critical element in the healing process and I feels that people can heal and have a better life.
