About the Provider
Gina is the owner of Flourish Therapy Center, a group practice specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, PTSD/trauma, anxiety disorders and life transitions. Gina has over 8 years of experience providing clinical mental health services. She is interested in working with adults and young adults who have co-morbid diagnoses and has experience working with individuals who struggle with maladaptive coping (self-harm, self-sabotage etc). Gina is committed to the Health at Every Size (HAES) principles, and collaborates with her client’s multidisciplinary team members such as psychiatrists, medical doctors and dietitians for continuity of care.
Gina believes through understanding and awareness, clients can move toward becoming their true selves and deeply experience a life worth living. She is a non-judgmental, relational therapist, who truly cares about the rapport with her clients while challenging them to push themselves!
Gina has experience working in a psychiatric PHP setting, eating disorder facility, residential program serving those with traumatic brain injuries, and an alternative school. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Suffolk University, studying Psychology and Education and Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Simmons College. She received her Level 1 and 2 EMDR training from The Center of Excellence and is an EMDRIA certified clinician, currently in CIT training to become an EMDR Consultant. She is also trained in Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP).
She is also on the advisory planning board as a wellness member at JPH Community, a center on the South Shore providing holistic support for people seeking wellness.
Gina strongly believes in the practice of self-care and enjoys running outdoors, chocolate, spending time with her miniature dachshund Wally, and taking walks on the beach.
