About the Provider
With extensive training in eating disorders and performance psychology, I am interested in supporting adults and adolescents in their search for wellness and authenticity. This can entail exploring the root of school-based and somatic issues, partnering with clients on their recovery journeys, nurturing growth and strength in times of anxiety and depression, assisting with transitions, or fostering identity development. My style of practice is holistic, strengths-based and creative, and is infused with warmth and cultural competence. Please note that my canine good citizen, Theo the Bloodhound, is often present to provide support.nnWith twelve years of experience helping high school students and families navigate challenges within academic settings, I also specialize in cultivating supports and strategies by collaborating with school and medical professionals as well as holistic care providers. Most recently, my work has begun to focus on grief, loss and the accompanying transitions.nnIn addition to office-based treatment, I am pleased to offer equine assisted psychotherapy in a workshop-based, customizable format. As a competitive equestrian and trainer for more than twenty years, work can use the human/equine partnership as a mirror. Please inquire for details.

About the Provider
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Nourished Minds Counseling + Wellness, I specialize in treating adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, and OCD. I am a certified yoga teacher and yoga therapist, and often infuse this background into my clinical work to help clients befriend their body and regulate their nervous system. My approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Most importantly, however, we focus on building trust and connection, and then personalize the therapy based on what will best serve the client’s goals. I strive to be a collaborative and interactive therapist, co-creating an engaging and dynamic atmosphere in sessions.
I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Simmons University. Prior to joining Nourished Minds, I worked at the Simmons College Counseling Center, where I provided individual therapy to undergraduate students. I deeply appreciate the experience I gained working with students to build their toolbox of coping skills to navigate through anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-harm, relationship challenges, trauma, chronic pain, and identity development.
My decade of experience as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist helps me appreciate the complicated relationship we can have with our bodies. I have taught therapeutic yoga at several Boston-area eating disorder treatment programs. I often work with clients who have not necessarily had a positive relationship with yoga, mindfulness, or movement, and love the challenge of taking creative approaches to help improve the mind-body relationship. I am a member of the Multi-Service Eating Disorders Association (MEDA), the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
I work with clients across the spectrum of gender identity and sexual orientation. I love supporting clients who are navigating polyamory and nonmonogamy. An understanding of the role that structural oppression plays in our mental health is infused in my clinical work, along with anti-racist education and practice. Prior to working directly with clients, I worked in the nonprofit sector, focused on social justice and policy change. This dedication to shifting systems and organizations continues to drive how I show up in the world, working towards long-term cultural change where everyone has access to greater health and wellbeing.

About the Provider
Accepting new clients! Offering therapy services in Massachusetts (telehealth) and Florida.
“Sapientia” (sap-pen-tcha) is Latin for wisdom. My practice is built on the belief that everyone already has within them the resources to heal, grow, and thrive. Simply put, I use evidence-based interventions – primarily a therapy called Internal Family Systems (IFS) – to help people tap into that innate wisdom. With my support, clients heal themselves.
Reach out via email or phone to take the first step, or schedule a free 15 minute consult call through my website. I look forward to working with you!

About the Provider
Dr. Andrea Kulberg is a licensed psychologist with 25 years of experience in the treatment of disordered eating and anxiety, and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. Dr. Kulberg’s team of dietitians and therapists at Anxiety Experts specializes in treating all types of eating disorders, as well as anxiety, panic, social phobia, school refusal, OCD, PTSD and BDD. These problems rob one’s sense of freedom, confidence and self-worth. The Anxiety Experts team treats these issues with a type of CBT called Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and Medical Nutrition Therapy from a Registered Dietician as appropriate. Virtual therapy has been proven to be just as successful as in-person therapy for helping people master their fears and stop the avoidance behaviors and compulsions which worsen anxiety. Dr Kulberg has been trained through the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) in the use of Exposure with Response Prevention, the #1 treatment for anxiety. Anxiety Experts team members are also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and have been featured speakers at national conferences such as the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) and the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
Dr. Kulberg and her team at Anxiety Experts are currently accepting new patients for virtual outpatient and virtual intensive outpatient treatment (VIOP), as well as in-person clients at all three practice locations in Goleta, Montecito, and Ventura.

About the Provider
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Nourished Minds Counseling + Wellness, I specialize in treating adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, complex trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, OCD and personality disorders.
My clinical approach flexibly incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I enjoy working with clients to meet their goals with curiosity, compassion and humor.
I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boston College. Prior to joining Nourished Minds, I worked at Monte Nido Laurel Hill, a residential eating disorder facility, where I provided individual, group and family therapy to clients recovering from eating disorders. During my time as a therapist, I gained experience working with clients as they developed insight and coping skills to navigate eating disorders, self-harm, dissociation, suicidality, substance abuse, complex trauma, intimate partner violence, OCD, as well as identity development.
Prior to this work, I spent a year as a primary and group therapist for Right Turn, a program for individuals struggling with substance abuse. During graduate school, I worked as a recovery coach, providing behavioral interventions and nutrition exposures for individuals with eating disorders. I am dedicated to continued professional development and am a member of The National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I particularly enjoy working with young adults as they navigate their experience and expression of gender and sexuality. I am a sex-positive and kink-allied therapist. I am dedicated to continued anti-racist education and the use of knowledge of systems of oppression and their impact on individual and community health in my clinical practice and life. I feel grateful for the opportunity to build relationships and work alongside my clients as they identify values-based behaviors and strategies to create the life they want for themselves.

About the Provider
Hi, I’m Jac! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, who has been working in the mental health field since 2015 providing individual, group, and family therapy in residential, inpatient, day treatment (PHP/IOP) and outpatient settings.
I have held various leadership positions across inpatient, partial hospital, and intensive outpatient levels of care in eating disorder treatment facilities, where I developed a passion for supervising and training new clinicians, as well as ensuring that folx are treated at the most appropriate level of care.
My office is a safe space to be exactly who you are. I identify firmly as a weight neutral, HAES aligned, affirming provider.
My experiential expertise in eating disorders aside, I am fortunate to have had experience working with folx with many different goals and needs, with particular interest areas of anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am also specifically trained in CBT for insomnia.
I utilize an individualized eclectic approach to best serve you, because one size rarely fits all.
In session you will find I often utilize principles and ideas from DBT, CBT, ACT, and other evidence based practice, but most importantly my focus is on creating an authentic relationship with you and being your trusted teammate. It is not uncommon for me to utilize humor in session because laughter is truly some of the best medicine I know of.
If you’re looking for a provider who wants to earn your trust and walk with you through the great times and the messy ones, please reach out to me and let’s find a time to connect.
As of October 2024 I keep a small waitlist for interested prospective clients but I do not have active openings.

About the Provider
“From Unspoken Pain to Empowered Healing: Breaking the Silence on Unaddressed Grief” – Anita Gupta”
People tend to suffer in silence with Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders and Grief over loss for far too long. Reaching out for help takes courage. I have 30 years experience working as a Clinical Instructor – Harvard Medical School, Associate Clinical Psychologist – Massachusetts General Hospital and treating patients in my private practice in Boston’s Back Bay. In 2022 I moved my private practice to Newton Highlands. My mission is to
help people fulfill their life dreams personally, professionally and relationally. My patients and I work collaboratively to explore the roots of their pain / symptoms and discover new strategies to better deal with complicated problems. I am an interactive and relational therapist. I offer Individual, Couples, Group Therapy & Grief Counseling.
Coping with the death of a loved one can feel intolerable. You believe no one can really understand YOUR pain. You are right. But, you are also not alone. I lost my 16 yo son 3 years ago. Faith, an unflappable support system and therapy saved my life. I am ready to help others on their journey to living a fulfilling, love-filled life along side of the grief.
Life transitions can be complicated and difficult. Whether the transition is to a change in relationship status, new city, new job, or new school, it is helpful to have a safe, private space to process overwhelming emotions that invariably arise. I see patients over zoom as well as face to face indoors as well as in an Outdoor Covid Compliant Office space.
I am certified in Animal Assisted Therapy. “Henry Freud” is a calm, gentle, affectionate Black Lab who is eager to be part of your healing process. He is happy to offer therapeutic comfort: snuggles, kisses, floor play, secured privacy and/or bring you tissues. Henry’s greatest gift is the ability to make everyone feel special and loved in a unique way.
Finally, I am an out-of-network provider. Patients pay me at the time of the visit. I am happy to help patients get reimbursed from their insurance companies by submitting receipts electronically to BCBS and providing Superbills at the beginning of each month for the previous month’s sessions.

About the Provider
My approach combines cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral techniques, meaning that we will look at patterns of thinking and habits in behaviors that may be maintaining negative mood states or problematic situations. My therapeutic style is collaborative, open and interpersonal, meaning we work together to address problems and feedback runs both directions. I strive to meet patients where they are at and personalize treatment whether you are new to therapy or not, wanting help w/ a specific concern or struggling to identify what that is, or ready to share versus a little unsure.

About the Provider
Asking for help is the first step in taking care of oneself; something that is very difficult to do. We often struggle with our thoughts and feelings and find ourselves using unhealthy behaviors in an effort to cope with everyday life. I believe that we all want to do better and feel better in our lives and in our bodies and that we can achieve this through a positive, nonjudgmental, therapeutic connection.
I specialize in eating disorders and offer my clients a space to hear themselves think and try to understand what drives their symptoms while encouraging them to self-nurture and discover who they are beyond their weight.
I invite you to reach out and let us figure out together, whether we might be a good fit to help you begin or continue your journey.

She began her career at McLean Hospital, working first at Gunderson, a women’s residential program for Borderline Personality Disorder, and then in the psychotic disorders inpatient program. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University, specializing in advanced clinical practice. During her MSW, she interned with Crisis Text Line and the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia (CSAB).

About the Provider
I am a psychologist who specializes in eating disorders, body image concerns, mindfulness and compassion, and relationship based therapies.
I enjoy working collaboratively with a client, couple, or family to understand the role and function of different personal difficulties. Together we can work to see
how someone’s struggles relate to their larger goals, hopes, and motivations.
I use approaches to therapy that focus on understanding the role and functions of emotions and behaviors, understanding someone’s experience in the context of relationships, and utilizing strengths and competencies in the therapy process.
In addition to individual therapy, I have a passion for working with couples, families, and in relationship based therapies. I also provide parent consultation for parents supporting their child or adult child through an eating disorder.
I completed a fellowship at Mclean Hospital-Harvard Medical School in Adolescent Mental Health and completed my predoctoral internship at the University of Virginia Counseling and Psychological Services. Prior to working in private practice, I worked as a staff psychologist at Mclean Hospital’s Klarman Eating Disorders Center and held an appointment at Harvard Medical School. At Klarman Eating Disorders Center, I specialized in the care of individuals struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and associated concerns.

About the Provider
My practice is rooted in body liberation, meaning I believe all bodies are deeply worthy of acceptance, compassion, and care and understand that many people considering therapy may be carrying the baggage of living in a world where it isn’t safe to accept yourself. I work from a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework and appreciate the rich diversity that exists amongst different body shapes and sizes. I believe effective treatment for eating disorders and body image issues involves nuanced conversation about navigating a medical system and a culture preoccupied with weight and size.
I love helping people find an easier way to manage their lives that feels less effortful and more sustainable.
I am highly relational in my work with clients, and I strive to create a space where clients feel deeply known, seen, and understood. I believe that in the context of such a relationship, hopefulness and change organically take place.
I have experience working with eating disorders at all levels of care, including inpatient, residential, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, and outpatient. I combine my clinical expertise and your lived experience and wisdom to provide a collaborative approach to treatment.

About the Provider
As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Staff Psychotherapist at Nourished Minds: Counseling + Wellness, I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are struggling with anxiety, OCD and/or eating disorders. I particularly enjoy supporting young people as they grapple through the transition to adulthood and the related issues that arise including identity, relationship and conflict navigation.
I believe that my clients are experts in their own experiences, and I feel privileged to be allowed into their lives. I strive to create a warm, safe and non-judgmental space for my clients, in which I bring curiosity and compassion to every session. I empower my clients to identify their own goals and collaborate with them to help develop individualized action-oriented treatment plans to improve the quality of their lives. I identify as an ally to the BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disability communities and value working across the spectrums of gender, race, sexuality, and class.
Prior to joining Nourished Minds, I earned a Master of Social Work from Boston College and have spent the last several years working on inpatient and partial programs at McLean Hospital, where I worked with clients in acute crises, across a wide range of life stages, diagnoses and identities. I graduated as a Fellow at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute, training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy in 2023. I utilize ERP, ACT and CBT to treat the majority of my clients, but am also certified in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and integrate elements of IFS into my work. I am also a member of the National Association of Social Workers, where I engage in ongoing professional development.
My clinical experiences have been enriched by living and working in several different countries. Prior to focusing on psychotherapy, I helped develop social impact small businesses in Kigali, Rwanda, and was involved in starting a non-profit organization in Nairobi, Kenya, funding female education.
